The adaptation to Turkish of the caregiver contributions to selfcare of heart failure index: a validity and reliability study

Objective: Although heart failure is a chronic and progressive disease, it also disease that requires the patient caregivers who are not healthcare professionals to spend many years together in process of follow-up, treatment, care. Correct evaluation caregiver this one most important points will guide process. The aim study was conduct validity reliability Turkish version Caregiver Contributions Self-Care Heart Failure Index v.2- (CC-SCHFI) determine contributions patients with failure. Material Method: sample formed presented at training research hospital diagnosis failure, voluntarily agreed participate research. Data were collected using Personal Information Form CC-SCHFI. For language adaptation CC-SCHFI, internal consistency coefficient item-total used, structure validity, Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA) Confirmatory (CFA) applied. Results: cultural CC-SCHFI found be high. In study, high concluded scale could used under sub-dimension headings “Recommendations for Protection”, “The Role Treatment Compliance”, “Caregiver Practices”.
